For those of you who know me, you know I love animals and they, in general, love me back. I also love presents. Who doesn’t? A friend of mine gave me a wonderful gift of Power Animal Oracle Cards. Sort of taro-ish but not quite the same.
I read the directions. I touched each card and studied it, I fanned them out pictures towards me, then I said my prayer and the prayer that it said in the book. Then after each prayer, I blew the prayer on to the cards. The interesting thing about the instructions comes now. You could choose them in several different ways. You can shuffle them and then pull 3 from the top or you can shuffle them and pull cards from anywhere within the deck or you can shuffle until you think its done and maybe the cards will let you know which animal guides are talking to you today.
I started to shuffle and had not decided which way I was going. However, the cards decided for me. First, the squirrel jumped out of the deck. I promise you, it flew out. The squirrel is the preparation guide – get ready for big changes. I continued to shuffle and out flew the Raven (literally). The Raven is magic, telling you to own your own powers. Not only that but when the Raven comes out, the card that comes next has its magnitude increased. The final card that jumped out was the snake. The snake indicates healing. Healing for oneself and others.
With the squirrel coming first and indicating great change, I am aware that I am expecting it. I have been anticipating 2019 as my year of big changes. I have worked long and hard to get here and I am excited for the changes I anticipate in my life. Those changes could be in work, life in general or in relationships. Any and all are exciting options.
The Raven is exciting and a bit scary for it is a powerful spirit animal. I see it in many aspects of my life, but I have never identified it before. The ability to make things grow, to sense when someone is nearby or to find that parking space or think of someone and they call. All of this is the ability to sense things and hopefully make a positive outcome. With the fact of the Raven increasing the magnitude of the next spirit animal, the snake, the healing this year should be amazing.
With the Snake, the healing eminates from the hands and the heart. I have always had good hands and hopefully a good heart. Supposedly the suffering from this life and past lives will help to heal not only me but others who I am drawn to. It’s supposed to be like a rebirth or a transformation. All very exciting.
It was a most unexpected kind of trial by fire with the cards. The spirit guides who came out were strong and relevant to my life in ways I could never have imagined. I can’t wait to see what happens as I learn more and more about the cards and the power that lies within the human/animal coexistence.
A new journey has begun!
